Terms and Conditions for event and activity bookings with Nene Park Trust

In booking an event or activity with Nene Park Trust you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and conditions.  When an individual is booking tickets for others it is the responsibility of the individual placing the booking to ensure all participants are aware of and will abide by the terms and conditions.

1.    General Event and Activity Terms and Conditions are applicable to all events and activity bookings.

a)        Tickets are for use of the person(s) named in the booking only and are not transferable.

b)       Should you wish to cancel your booking after you have purchased your ticket Nene Park Trust will aim to offer your place to anyone else who may be on a waiting list. However should this not be possible Nene Park Trust is under no obligation to offer you a refund.

c)        To cancel your booking, please telephone 01733 234193.

d)       Under no circumstances will duplicate tickets be issued for lost or damaged tickets. Please keep your ticket safe.

e)       Ticket holders consent to the photography of the event, which may be used for promotional purposes unless you tell us otherwise.

f)         Nene Park Trust reserves the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safe management of the event.

g)        Nene Park Trust reserves the right to cancel an event at any time if our staff consider that to continue with the event would be hazardous to themselves or members of the public.

h)       In the event that Nene Park Trust cancels the event, refund is limited to the face value of the ticket only.

i)         Nene Park Trust reserves the right to exclude any individuals from an event if our staff or event leaders acting on behalf of the Trust feel that to allow them to continue would be hazardous to the individual or to others and/or affect the enjoyment of others. Should this occur excluded individuals will not be eligible for a refund of their ticket price.

j)         Where Tickets are for a specific date and time the customer must be at the advertised start location at the time stated on the ticket.  Nene Park Trust is under no obligation to offer a refund or to reschedule a booking if a customer misses their booking due to late arrival.

k)        Unless otherwise stated children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for all events and activities.

l)         Nene Park Trust reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this ticket in accordance with any new laws, legislation or internal company policies.

 

2.    The following additional Watersports hire terms and conditions are applicable to all bookings for Watersports hire

a)        Equipment and watercraft hires are for use of the person(s) named in the booking only and are not transferable.

b)       Watercraft will only be issued to a named adult.  This adult is responsible for supervising anyone under 18 years old within their party.

c)        Children over the age of 8 years can go on a watercraft without an adult. The supervising adult must be close by throughout the hire.   

d)       Nene Outdoors reserves the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the hire period to ensure the safety of staff and public.

e)       Nene Outdoors reserves the right to refuse to issue a watercraft if our staff feel that to do so would be hazardous to the customer or to others and/or affect the enjoyment of others.

f)         Nene Outdoors reserves the right to terminate a hire and ask customers to return to shore at any time if our staff consider that to continue would be hazardous to themselves or members of the public.

g)        Drinking alcohol on any boat is not permitted. If staff suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we reserve the right to refuse to hire a boat to you.

h)       Customers hiring watercraft must remain within the area indicated to them when their craft is issued.

i)         Customers must enter and exit the water at the location indicated to them when their craft is issued.

j)         In the unfortunate circumstances that you fall off your craft, and are unable to get back on, you must stay with your craft until help arrives, do not swim away from your craft or attempt to swim to shore.

k)        Customers hiring watercraft must wear buoyancy aids correctly at all times when on the water and on the jetty.

l)         Customers are requested to respect the rights of other water users and to stay clear of other craft and anglers.

m)      When hiring watercraft or equipment, everybody is advised to wear appropriate shoes at all times, if customers do not it is at their own risk 

n)       Lockers are available for small valuable items. Personal effects are left at customer’s own risk.  Nene Outdoors accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged items.

o)       Due to the potential presence of blue green algae in the lake please ensure you wash hands thoroughly after activity.

 

3.    The following additional Campsite booking terms and conditions are applicable to all bookings for campsite pitches and bell tents.

a)        Camping is by advance booking only.  Bookings are charged per night for a single tent with up to 6 occupants.

b)       Arrivals are from 13:00 to 17:00 on the day of the booking.  Any one arriving after 17:00 may not be able to gain access to the campsite.

c)        You must vacate your pitch by 10:00 on the day of your departure.

d)       The campsite is available to families and couples only.  Groups where more than 2 adults are sharing a tent will not be permitted.

e)       There must be at least 1 adult per group.  Children and teenagers under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times by a parent/guardian.

f)         You will be allocated a pitch on arrival.  Pitches are 5 metres by 5 metres in size.  You may erect one tent within your allocated pitch, tents must fit entirely within the allocated pitch.  Tents must be placed a minimum of 5m apart

g)        Caravans and campervans are not permitted within the campsite.

h)       Dogs are permitted within the campsite but must be kept on a lead.  Please do not allow your dog to foul within the campsite.  Dog waste must be collected and disposed of in an appropriate bin.

i)         Cars are not permitted within the campsite.  Car parking is available a short walk away in the main visitor carpark next to Nene Outdoors Watersports and Activity Centre.  Parking for one car is included within your campsite booking fee.  You will receive a parking voucher when you check in.

j)         Open fires are only allowed in designated fire pits.

k)        Barbeques must be raised off the ground, either on one of the fixed barbeque stands located around the site or on a suitable portable stand.

l)         Gas barbeques are not permitted.  Campers may make use of small camping stoves with a maximum gas canister size of 500g.

m)      Amplified music is not permitted on the campsite (including radios, ipods etc).  Acoustic music must stop at 21:00.

n)       Rubbish must not be left on site.  Please bring bin bags and ensure all rubbish is placed in the general or recycle bins provided (black bags must not be placed in the recycle bin).

o)       No smoking or vaping is permitted in the campsite or inside buildings.  If you wish to smoke or vape please move to a suitable location outside of the building and campsite boundaries.

p)       The entry gate to Ferry Meadows is locked at 22:00.  After this time campers will be able to drive out of the park but will not be able to drive in.

q)       Nene Park Trust accepts no responsibility for any person or property injured or damaged while on site.

 

4.    The following additional Boat trip terms and conditions are applicable to all bookings for boat trips on board Wyndham

a)       Tickets will only be booked to a named adult.  This adult is responsible for supervising anyone under 18 years old within his or her party.  Under 18 year olds will not be permitted on board without an accompanying adult.

b)       Nene Outdoors reserves the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the hire period to ensure the safety of staff and public.

c)        Nene Outdoors reserves the right to refuse to allow a customer to board Wyndham if our staff feel that to do so would be hazardous to the customer or to others and/or affect the enjoyment of others.

d)       Nene Outdoors reserves the right to terminate a trip and return to shore at any time if our staff consider that to continue would be hazardous to themselves or members of the public.

e)       Customers will not be permitted to bring their own alcohol on-board Wyndham. If staff suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we reserve the right to refuse to allow you to board.

f)        Customers must wear buoyancy aids correctly at all times when on board Wyndham.

g)       Due to the potential presence of blue green algae in the lake customers are advised to keep their hands inside the boat and to wash their hands thoroughly after activity.

 

5.    The following additional Archery terms and conditions are applicable to all bookings for Archery Taster sessions

a)       Minimum participant age is 8 years old, under 18 year old must have an adult present.

b)       All jewellery and hooped items including watches must be removed.

c)        All long hair must be tied back.

d)       Tassels etc. to be tucked away into clothing

e)       Participants must be wearing appropriate closed toe footwear.

f)        Participants must wear the arm bracer provided.

g)       Participants must follow the instructions of our staff at all times.

h)       Food, drink or chewing gum is not permitted in the archery area.

 

6.    The following additional Climbing terms and conditions are applicable to all bookings for Climbing Taster sessions

a)       Minimum participant age is 4 years old, under 18 year old must have an adult present..

b)       Maximum participant weight is 130kg (20st 6lb), minimum participant weight is 10kg (1st 8lb).

c)        All jewellery including watches must be removed, glasses secured and pockets emptied before climbing.

d)       All long hair must be tied back.

e)       Participants must wear secure, flat-soled shoes with closed toes and long shorts or trousers must be worn. (no sandals, flip flops, sliders, short shorts or dresses/skirts).  

f)        Participants must correctly wear harnesses provided.

g)       Participants must follow the instructions of our staff at all times.

h)       Food, drink or chewing gum is not permitted in the climbing area.
