Longthorpe Tower Immersive History Event: Dressing for Battle and Court
Over a two hour tour, in a smaller group, visitors will be able to discover in more detail about medieval costume and even try a few items of clothing on if they wish! Our Dressing for Battle & Court day will focus on medieval armour and arms and reveal the many layers of medieval ladies’ dress from the hose to the hennin. These events will also include detailed interpretation of the famous painted chamber of Longthorpe Tower and wider information on daily medieval life including food, medicine and occupations. As the groups for these events will be smaller, there will be ample time for discussion and questions with our expert guides.
Tours will be available at: 10:00, 12:00, & 14:30.
